What is 3D Printing?
3D Printing is a type of additive manufacturing. Our printers use a process called FDM, this process uses an extruder to melt plastic in specific locations to create your desired shape. The 3D printer lays down one layer at a time and gradually moves up until the shape is complete.
3D printing processes allow for mass customisation. Even within the same build chamber, the process of 3D printing means that numerous products can be manufactured at the same time according to the end-users requirements at no additional process cost as there are no moulds or bulky tool heads! If you need to tweak your design, you do not have to pay for pricy moulds, simply send in your new file.
As 3D printing is an additive manufacturing process you can create complex objects that cannot be made anywhere else. Your parts do not have to be solid saving plastic and weight without loosing strength.
